RideCharge Announces Integration with Aleph, New York City’s Most Widely Used Sedan Dispatch System
Feb 29, 2008 - ALEXANDRIA, Virginia, - RideCharge, the leading provider of ground travel booking, cashless payment, and expense management, today announced the completion of an interface to Aleph dispatch software. This addition will allow inventory including New York sedan companies such as the Executive Transportation Group, the largest sedan company in the US, to be accessed by travelers using RideCharge technology. New York City yellow cabs cannot be booked in advanced, and therefore the role of dispatched taxis is played by the sedan and ‘black car’ livery industry. The RideCharge integration with Aleph makes possible the addition of booked transportation in New York to the RideCharge national network.
The Aleph interface enables RideCharge customers to directly, electronically insert reservations into the dispatch systems of metropolitan sedan and black car fleets in New York, as well as taxi and fleets in California, and greater Washington DC. The direct link eliminates potential human error, allowing online and mobile phone booking in real-time 24-7. It enables travelers using RideCharge to receive real-time, patent pending ‘where’s my car’ GPS tracking messages on their mobile phones, providing them previously unattainable visibility into their car’s estimated time of arrival.
The RideCharge integration also enables cashless payment via a traveler’s mobile phone. Passengers are given the ability to provide an electronic signature (E-sign) using their mobile phone, to confirm taking the sedan trip. This system makes possible the reduction of paper vouchers and expedited payment processing. RideCharge electronic booking and payment enables a new concept of E-receipt documentation, previously unavailable to travelers and travel managers. The result is unprecedented traveler convenience, and the ability for travel managers to gain a level of control over taxi travel expenses that was—until now— unattainable.
The addition of Aleph dispatched sedans increases the broad range of taxi, sedan and shared ride inventory available for comparison through RideCharge.

About RideCharge
RideCharge offers the first Direct Connect Taxi booking and expense management engine at www.ridecharge.com.
